THE Redlands Sharks under 16 boys touch footy team proved themselves the best in the state when they took out the recent Junior State Cup, beating BMTA in the final.

The win caps off an outstanding season for the Redland boys who also won all of the tri series of carnivals.

They won the final of the Arthur Davis carnival 6-3 against the Gold Coast, the Toowoomba carnival final 4-3 against the Gold Coast, and the Sharks Cup final 4-3 against the Gold Coast.

At the State Cup the boys finished first in their pool and did not lose a game.

In the semi final they smashed Caboolture 7-2.

In the grand final, they played BMTA, and at half time it was even at 2-all.

With the halftime talk by coaches Joe Schweitzer and Craig Searston and the leadership of co-captains Jacko and Big Mitch, the Redlands boys went on to win 7-4.
