A WOMAN is in a stable condition in hospital after being shot in the stomach on Lamb Island on Tuesday morning.
The 30-year-old Lamb Island resident was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital about 8.15am.
A crew member from the Emergency Management Queensland Rescue Helicopter said the woman was conscious when they arrived at the hospital just after 9am.
Police have spoken to the woman and are trying to determine the circumstances of how she was shot.
They are looking for a man who may be able to provide more information about the incident.
