THE Trend Dance Team set a new winning trend at this year's Redland Eisteddfod winning the highest overall aggregate trophy in the dance section.

Director Nicci Hope said she was thrilled with the result, following "absolutely fantastic" performances by the dancers.

The team also took out the overall aggregate trophy for a school in the Redlands and overall tap aggregate in a hotly contested competition.

The team entered groups from eight and under to opens in classical, tap, jazz, song and dance incorporating schools in Capalaba, Wynnum and Tingalpa.

The Trend Dance Team is a family run dance school, opened by Nicci's mother Jan, now aged 70.
